The Project
Skyportz worked with Contreras Earl Architect to design an innovative concept for a Vertiport that can adapt to a variety of locations, the vertiports can be built on land, waterfront sites or building rooftops.
With the Brisbane Olympics coming in 2032 the city is a potential launch place for a new generation of mobility.
Melbourne
The location in Mlebourne is at Batman Park, opposite Southbank and the Crown Casino. The Vertiport would also serve as a hub for eBikes and eScooters, as well as connecting with already existing transport infrastructure.
Brisbane
The Brisbane concept site on the Maiwar River near the QUT ferry terminal, was chosen because of its immediate access to the city and other transport links.
Publications
The iamges for the Vertiports have been featured in Airports International - Advanced Air Mobility and Vertiports 2024, and also used in the Air Taxi Vertiport Guidelines by the Australian Government - Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA)
